Ghost in the Machine (2/2)

Ghost in the Machine (1/2)

Title: Ghost in the Machine
Author: [info]twilights_blue
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Lack of beta, etc.
Word Count: 11.568
Summary: Eames gets the chance to research dreamshare aboard the Inception, a ship orbiting an alien planet. While he's there he meets Arthur, the organic computer interface for the entire ship.
Author's Notes: I'm sorry, I am so sorry. This is way too long and is way too crappy. I had to write it though; once the idea got me, I couldn't stop writing it. Hammered this out in two weeks. No beta, like I said, so if you see anything or have any criticism, please feel free to say something.

While Arthur was a well-developed hologram, it was still rather obvious that he, well, wasn't real. )
Title: A Thousand Different Versions of Yourself
Author: [info]twilights_blue
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Eventual slash, lack of beta, etc.
Chapter: Two
Word Count: 3.832
Summary: It wasn't as if his name was stuck in his throat, or on the tip of his tongue. He had simply forgotten it.
Author's Notes: It's been nine months, I know, but I can explain! My computer died the day after I posted the first chapter, and then I had an ultimately shitty time trying to figure out this next chapter. In fact, I'm still not happy with it, because it feels like filler. Anyway. Next update will be much faster, promise!

The Pace is on a Runaway Train

Title: The Pace is on a Runaway Train
Author: [info]twilights_blue
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Violence, language
Word Count: 5.536
Summary: Sometimes it was all Eames could do to not outright punch Arthur when the younger man opened his mouth.
Author's notes: Originally wirtten for [info]dream_exchange for someone who dropped out, then gifted to the community as a whole. Since everyone was revealed recently, I thought I'd post it here for everyone to enjoy.

Eames wouldn't have had it any other way. )
Title: A Thousand Different Versions of Yourself
Author: [info]twilights_blue
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Eventual slash, lack of beta, etc.
Chapter: One
Word Count: 5.281
Summary: Eames’ gaze fixed on him instantly, eyes restlessly moving over his face. Arthur waited to see some spark of recognition in the forger’s eyes, but all that he got was calm curiosity.
Author's Notes: First time writing for this fandom, hoorah. This actually took longer than it should have, mostly because my muse kept on trying to get me write AUs. You guys have no idea how close I came to writing a dragonrider AU. It might still happen, if I think people would be interested in it, but for now I'll try to stick within the actual Inception universe.

And, and I know I'm supposed to know who you are, but I can't quite...remember. )

Shorties I

I recently found a writing forum, called Synthetic Truth. I've been participating in a thread that gives out one-word prompts and then holds a contest to see which participating writer had the best story. There have been a few rounds already, and I've won and lost a few. I decided to post them here as well, after cleaning them up and all of that (rounds are fast and don't encourage editing).

ANYWAYS, RAMBLING. They're behind their own cuts, and marked if I won or lost that round.

OC Questionnaire

Dear God I have way too much time on my hands if I was able to fill out this beast in only a few days.

Welcome to over one hundred of the dumbest questions about your character. These are things that, if someone were to ask you in real life, you could answer without giving it any thought whatsoever. Most characters, however, can't answer this because authors never think about it - it's unimportant. Well, these things are going to help you define you character more.

Some tips: Answer these in character, but only in a situation where your character would be 100% honest with themselves and with the person asking the question. Otherwise, answer as an author, and still be 100% honest.
